My Journey So Far - A Voyage Filled with Experiences and Discoveries
Ever since I was a child, I have been curious about why we age and why the human body undergoes such significant changes over time. It didn't quite seem fair to me :-), and after a pivotal moment in my life, I wondered how I could maintain my vitality, health, and radiance for as long as possible.
This led to a deep-rooted attraction towards health, movement, and well-being from an early age.
At 20, I discovered the world of meditation, and from that point onward, my life experienced profound transformations. I developed a keen interest in Yoga and Ayurveda, leading to a shift in my diet, environmental awareness, and self-perception. A whole new horizon opened up before me.
Today, I am a certified yoga instructor with an advanced training level of 1,500 hours, qualified to train and certify yoga teachers worldwide. Since 2012, I have had the privilege of training individuals in Europe, Asia, and the USA, with students from over 40 different nationalities. As the dedicated head of the Yoga Therapy Department - Yoga Āsanas and Prānāyāma - at the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International/Netherlands, I have had the opportunity to design, introduce, and teach various course models.
Around the age of 30, I began practicing facial exercises I stumbled upon in a book. Many years later, I heard about the Faceyoga Method. In 2018, I was fortunate enough to become one of the first Germans to successfully complete training and certification as a Faceyoga-Method® teacher under the globally recognised Faceyoga expert, Fumiko Takatsu.
From a very young age, I have always had a strong desire to help others.
Perhaps that's why I have become qualified in so many areas that allow me to effect positive change in people's lives. My portfolio is vast: I am also a certified Personal Life Coach, Meditation Teacher, Pain Therapy Coach following the (German) Liebscher & Bracht method, and a Nordic Walking Instructor.
For over two decades, my primary profession has been in the realm of Ayurveda. During several stays in India, I have had the honour to learn from leading experts. Even today, the timeless knowledge of this millennia-old health system continues to captivate me.
I love taking long walks in the woods to connect with nature outside of my work.
The profound sense of physicality, whether through sports, walking, dancing, yoga, or face yoga, is a window to the soul for me, and it helps me - just like meditation - to perceive my innermost self, sharpen my intuition, and sense my inner compass.
Years of consistent experiences have strengthened my belief that our human existence is timeless and that life encompasses far more than the limited years we spend on earth. The importance of feeling has also become clearer to me. Today, I recognise how vital it is to remain grounded and positive.
Our self-awareness deepens when our body is a cherished "friend" that we fully sense and perceive.
